Driveway Cleaning and Sealing

Concrete is a very porous material and so provides a fantastic breeding ground for moss, mould and algae. Concrete and paved driveways also suffer from various staining, such as from tree sap, rust, oil, tyre marks and general pollution. Even less porous surfaces such as tarmac suffer from organic growth and staining . Whatever your driveway is made of, it needs regular maintenance to keep it looking its best year after year.

Our popular driveway cleaning service will guarantee your driveway will be the envy of the neighbourhood! With our superior cleaning process we will have your driveway looking cleaner than ever! We use a combination of high pressure cleaning and softwashing to bring the best results possible!

High pressure cleaning, in most cases, will bring incredible results! But sometimes this technique alone won’t remove all of the Micro-organisms (Moss, Algae & Lichen) that colonise and grow on our driveways. If required we will treat the surface with a label complaint softwash chemical to remove any remaining Biofilm.

And to complete the process we always return to re-sand the joints once the surface is completely dry.

We specialise in producing a wide range of high quality sealants for various hard surfaces, such as floors, patios, and driveways. These sealants are especially made to offer imprinted concrete and other types of concrete surfaces long-lasting protection.

The High Solids Imprinted Concrete Sealer Renovator, one of our best-selling products, is widely used for residential and commercial sealing applications. Customers can choose between two finishes, gloss and satin, based on their preferences. The sealer can also be tinted if desired to produce a particular aesthetic result.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to clean my driveway?

The cleaning method depends on the type of driveway you have. Most driveways are made using decorative block paving. Block paving should be cleaned by blasting away the dirt & weeds using a pressure washer, followed by a Softwash treatment to kill off the remaining Biofilm (Algae, Lichen, Mould etc) and prevent immediate re growth. Once completely dry the joints should be re-sanded to stabilise the blocks.

Can my tarmac driveway be cleaned?

Yes! Tarmac provides the perfect environment for moss to grow and can become unsightly if left untreated. The surface should be cleaned using a high pressure flat surface cleaner, again followed by a Softwash treatment to control the moss growth. Tarmac also loses its original dark black colouring over time and turns a more natural grey. After a clean and treatment tarmac can be painted back to its original colour, giving that freshly laid look!

How often should I clean my driveway?

Most of our clients return every 1 to 2 years to have their driveways cleaned. Maintaining your driveway annually or bi-annually gives it that ‘just laid’ look year on year. The more sunshine your driveway gets the better! Micro-organisms such as Moss, Mould, Algae & Lichen thrive in damp and dark conditions so you may need a more regular clean if your driveway is more shaded.
