Yes! Indian Sandstone should be cleaned with great care due to its softer nature! The bright & vivid colours of the stone can soon disappear, masked in a green coating of algae and moss. Black spots (Niger Algae) are also very common on surfaces such as Indian Sandstone. These are notoriously difficult to remove as they cant be blasted away using high pressure! Our softwash treatment and gentle cleaning processes will ensure your Patio stays cleaner for longer, while causing no lasting damage to the surface!
The green film that is often found masking our beautiful patios is a Biofilm called Algae. Algae thrives on damp surfaces! So after the rain and frost of the good old english climate, our patios provide the perfect conditions for Algae to colonise.
